This alert applies to the following park:
- Jardine River National Park, Heathlands Resources Reserve and Jardine River Resources ReserveTropical North Queensland
Visitors are advised that Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting planned burning activities throughout Apudthama National Park (CYPAL) from Monday 16 June to Friday 20 June 2025 (dates inclusive).
During this period the following camping areas will be closed:
- Eliot Falls camping area
- North Jardine River camping area
- South Jardine River camping area
- Ussher Point camping area
Heavy amounts of smoke may be present during this time and it is recommend that anyone with respiratory issues stays away from the area during this time.
