This alert applies to the following park:

Due to a saturated Byfield area catchment, the risk of Water Park Creek causeway becoming flooded during and following rain events is currently high. When the causeway is flooded, this impacts access to and from Byfield National Park and Water Park Creek visitor area in Byfield State Forest. Potential visitors to these areas should check weather forecasts and the causeway water height online before setting out on their trip and travellers should take extra supplies in case they become isolated due to flooding.

The water height at the causeway can be monitored online by searching "Queensland River Height Bulletin" and then look for Water Park Creek as a subsidiary of the Fitzroy River. Generally, if the water height is above 2.2m, then water is over the causeway.

Remember, if it's flooded - forget it.
