This alert applies to the following park:

Hazardous Tree works - Lake Boomanjin camping area closed, Lake Boomanjin, K’gari (Fraser Island), Great Sandy National Park, 13th September 2024. Hazardous tree assessment and remediation works will be undertaken from 13th September. Machinery may be in use during the works. The Lake Boomanjin Camping area will be reopened when safety assessments have been completed. The Lake Boomanjin Great Walk Camping area will remain open. Alternative camping areas include Central Station, Dundubara, Waddy Point, Lake Garawongera or the Eastern Beach camping zones.

Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
