This alert applies to the following parks:

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and Mamu Land and Sea Rangers will be conducting planned burning activities in Palmerston (Doongan), Wooroonooran National Park, from Tuesday 1 October to Friday 11 October 2024 (dates inclusive).
Bora Ground Road, Maalan Road and the Jordan Creek area will be closed during this period. Camping areas, day-use areas and walking tracks will not be impacted.
These burns are being carried out for conservation management and cultural purposes.
