This alert applies to the following park:
- Lamington National ParkBrisbane; Gold Coast
As a result of severe weather, the Gwongoorool Pool track and the Illinbah circuit will remain temporarily closed until declared safe. High amounts of rainfall have resulted in significant landslips and fallen trees across the walking track.
Rangers are currently working on repairing the damage to the Gwongoorool Pool track and the Illinbah circuit to ensure both tracks are safe for visitor access.
The Darlington and Illinbah bush camp sites will also be temporary closed for the duration of the closure.
Observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers, and do not enter closed areas.
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
Park alerts will be regularly updated regarding conditions on park. The next update will be provided by Wednesday the 30th of April 2025.
