This alert applies to the following park:
- Tamborine National ParkBrisbane; Gold Coast
As a result of damage from Tropical Cyclone Alfred, some areas in Tamborine National Park are closed until declared safe.
QPWS Rangers are managing the situation and have damage repair activities in progress.
Closed areas:
- Cedar Creek Falls section - track to rock pools (due to creek water level)
- The Knoll section - Sandy Creek circuit (due to significant landslide)
- Palm Grove section - all walking tracks (due to fallen trees and washouts)
Alternative (open) facilities are available at:
- Cedar Creek Falls section - day use area and track to lookout
- Joalah section - Curtis Falls track and Lower Creek circuit
- MacDonald - Rainforest circuit
- The Knoll section - day use area and lookout
- Witches Falls section - day use area and walking tracks

Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
Facilities will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
