Due to a recent crocodile sighting in Alligator Creek visitors are advised to always Be Crocwise in Croc Country to reduce your risk.
Crocodiles can be found in all waterways including rivers, creeks, beaches, oceans and waterholes in Croc Country, and are highly mobile at any time, especially after heavy rain and floods.
Being Crocwise starts with three simple steps:
- Keep out of the water.
- Stay more than 5 metres away from the water’s edge.
- Keep a sturdy object between yourself and the water.
