Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting planned burns (weather permitting) as of Tuesday 06 May 2025 until Monday 30 June 2025, as part of the fire management and conservation program for Townsville Town Common Conservation Park and Cape Pallarenda Conservation Park.
Ranger will be conducting low intensity burns throughout the parks. For your safety, please heed all directions from Rangers and observe all access signs and warning.
Smoke may be seen in the vicinity of the conservation parks plus Cape Pallarenda Road and Ingham Road. Persons with respiratory or other health problems should seek medical advice on mitigating the effects of smoke inhalation.
For your safety please use caution whilst visiting the park.
