This alert applies to the following park:
- Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National ParkSunshine Coast
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will conduct a planned burn on 17 June till the 24 June, as part of the annual hazard reduction and conservation management program for parks and forests.
Firefighters and machinery will be operating along the roadside of Beach Road, Noosa North Shore, as part of a planned burn.
During the burn, traffic control will be present and effective on:
• Beach Road, Noosa North Shore
For your safety and the safety of firefighters, please observe all signage, barriers, and directions from Rangers, and never enter closed areas.
Smoke may be seen in the vicinity of Noosa North Shore, Teewah Village and Teewah Beach. Persons with respiratory or other health problems should seek medical advice on mitigating the effects of smoke inhalation.
