Camping area features: In open eucalypt forest a short walk from the river and bushwalking opportunities.
Location: On the northern bank of the Auburn River.
Access: Four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended in wet weather. Stay on the road, as soils are treacherous when wet.
Number of sites: Five camping nodes, sites are not numbered.
Camp sites are suitable for: Tent camping beside your car, caravans, camper trailers and large groups.
Camp site surfaces: Gravel.
Facilities: Toilets, a gas barbecue, shelter shed, picnic tables and communal fire rings. Never empty chemical toilet waste into park toilet facilities. Tank water is available in the park—treat before drinking. River water is unsuitable for drinking. No bins are supplied; please take your rubbish with you.
Open fires: Permitted in fire rings only, except when fire bans or prohibitions apply. Bring your own manufactured fuel (barbecue briquettes or imitation logs) or clean, milled timber off-cuts. It is illegal to bring in or collect bush wood. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: Permitted.
Essentials to bring: Drinking water, rubbish bags, first-aid kit, insect repellent and manufactured fuel. A fuel or gas stove for cooking is recommended. Read more about before you visit.
