Fossicking at Moonstone Hill Resources Reserve requires a licence. Fossicking in the national park is not permitted.

Camping area features: located in an open grassy area near Moonstone Hill Resources Reserve. Bookings can be made up to 6 months in advance.

Location: near Moonstone Hill Resource Reserve off the Kennedy Developmental Road, 5km north of the turnoff to the park entrance.

Access: via the Kennedy Developmental Road, a four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended, though the camping area is accessible to conventional vehicles with caution.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car and camper trailers.

Camp site surface: dirt.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: camp fires are permitted in the fire rings provided, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Bring clean firewood such as untreated, mill off-cuts—collecting firewood from the park is prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, fuel or gas stove, trowel or shovel and suitable clothing for cold nights. Read more about before you visit.
