Before you venture out take a photo of the Warracoota Circuit Drive map on display at the information centre at the homestead. Remember to set your trip meter to 0km at the yards near Gum Hole, and bring enough fuel and drinking water for the journey. Explore pastoral relics from a bygone era and learn about the desert landscape and its importance to the Maiawali people.

Keep your eyes alert for wildlife along the way and stop for a rest at Lake Constance and Warracoota Waterhole, where waterbirds come to forage.

The Warracoota Circuit drive is in Diamantina National Park, 306km south-west of Winton.

This 90km circuit drive starts 20km from the Ranger Base near Gum Hole on the Springvale Diamantina River Road.
