This alert applies to the following park:

As of Sunday 15 September 2024, all stray stock located on Cape Melville National Park (CYPAL) have been seized by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) under the authority of the Department of Environment, Science & Innovation (DESI). This is in accordance with section 154-E of the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

It is an offence under section 154-O of the Nature Conservation Act 1992 for any person to tamper, interfere or remove any seized stock without authority.  The maximum penalty for an offence against this section is $16,100 (100 penalty units).
