This forest is a major supplier of cypress pine—so expect to see logging trucks. The state forest is known for providing good fishing opportunities after rains and is a haven for wildlife watchers.

Camping area features: Open woodland setting adjacent to Dogwood Creek
Location: 19km north-west of the Barakula Forest Station. Follow the signs to the Dogwood Creek camping area.
Access: the camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle in dry weather only. It is accessible for trailers; off-road high clearance caravans and small off-road high clearance motorhomes.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 40 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping; off-road high clearance caravans; camper trailers; small off-road high clearance motorhomes.
Camp site surface: dirt.
Facilities: None.
Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply). Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generator use: prohibited.
