A wheelchair-accessible boardwalk leads from the southern end of the Broadwater day-use area and brings you to the imposing white fig, known as the Broadwater fig, a magnificent (although slightly battered) tree that has survived recent cyclones.
The circuit track continues through endangered riparian rainforest featuring fan palms, black beans, Alexandra palms, strangler figs, bird's nest ferns and staghorn ferns. Enjoy views of Broadwater Creek along the way. As you walk, listen and look for rainforest birds such as noisy pittas, wompoo pigeons, emerald doves, orange-footed scrubfowl and spotted catbirds. Relax with a picnic in the day-use area after your walk.
