Eliot Falls camping area

Eliot Falls camping area is nestled in woodland between Canal and Eliot creeks, close to the famed scenic Eliot and Twin falls, this popular camping area is an oasis for travellers.

Camping area features: nestled in woodland between Canal and Eliot creeks, close to the famed scenic Eliot and Twin falls, this popular camping area is an oasis for travellers.

Location: close to the northern boundary of Heathlands Resources Reserve, at the joining of Canal and Eliot creeks.

Access: the camping area can only be reached by high clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles and off-road campervans and camper trailers. Access is not suitable for buses, caravans or low clearance vehicles. Access to Eliot Falls camping area involves a deep creek crossing at Scrubby Creek. The creek can be more than 1 metre deep in sections and driving through is only recommended for experienced four-wheel drivers.

Number of sites: 31 numbered, multi-use sites suitable for off-road campervans or camper trailers. Six commercial operator sites (numbered 1 to 6 not listed below).

Camp sites vary in size and shape. In the table below, sites that are roughly square or rectangle shaped, a length x width measurement is provided. For odd shaped camp sites, the area of frontage is provided, as well as the minimum and maximum width.

Camp sites are suitable for: tents, off-road campervans or camper trailers. Separate areas for commercial operators are provided.

Camp site surface: dirt.

Facilities: hybrid toilets, picnic tables and individual fire rings.

Open fires: allowed (except when fire bans apply) in existing fireplaces only. Do not collect firewood from the national park. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not permitted.

Essentials to bring: adequate food and drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent, screened tents or mosquito nets, a fuel stove, adequate fuel and spare parts for your vehicle. Read more about before you visit.
