Set amongst towering hoop pine, blue gum, swamp mahogany, macaranga and pandanus trees, this peaceful and shady day-use area offers sweeping coastal views from Noosa to Cooloola.
Enjoy a picnic with family and friends using the tables, barbecues, bins, drinking water and toilets provided.
Visit the beautiful information displays and immerse yourself in stories about the park’s features, values, history and cultural heritage.
Venture out on one of the four walks that start and finish from here—the Palm Grove Walk, Coastal Walk, Tanglewood Walk and Noosa Hill Walk also join with other walks in this section of the park.
Getting there and getting around
Noosa Headland day-use area is in the Headland section in Noosa National Park on the Sunshine Coast, 160km north of Brisbane.
Access is via sealed roads suitable for conventional 2WDs. Parking is limited so visitors are encouraged to walk, ride or catch the bus (see TransLink) during peak periods.
Access the day-use area and walking tracks at the end of Park Road in Noosa Heads:
- Drive to the day-use area car park.
- Walk 1km along the scenic seaside boardwalk from Hastings Street (or 1.1km from bus stop). There are steps which make this track unsuitable for wheelchairs.
- Cycle with caution along Park Road. Bike racks are provided in the day-use area (bring own padlock).

Wheelchair-accessible toilets and picnic tables are available in the day-use area. Assistance may be required.
