Camping area features: on the banks of the Barcoo River, camp near the shade of river red gums and tea-trees.

Location: turn west off the Jundah–Quilpie road. The camping area is approximately 10km from the turn-off. Follow the signs.

Access: 4WD vehicle recommended. Accessible by high clearance 2WD vehicle in dry weather only, check weather forecasts before you arrive.

Number of sites: open area without defined sites.

Campsites are suitable for: tent camping by your vehicle, roof top tent camping, swags, camper trailers and high clearance (4WD) caravans.

Campsite surface: dirt.

Facilities: toilet (non-flush).

Open fires: permitted, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Please use the fire ring provided and bring your own clean-cut, pest free firewood. Portable fuel stoves are recommended. Collecting firewood and the use of chainsaws is prohibited.

Generators: not allowed, except for medical reasons (conditions apply).

Essentials to bring: all food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, first-aid kit, reliable torch. Read more about before you visit.

Mobile phone coverage: unavailable; satellite phones, personal locator beacon (PLB) and UHF radios recommended.
