Camping area features: on the banks of the Barcoo River under the shade of river red gums and tea-trees.
Location: turn west off the Jundah–Quilpie road. The camping area is approximately 10km from the turn-off. Follow the signs.
Access: the camping area can only be reached by conventional vehicles in dry weather. 4WD vehicles are recommended.
Number of sites: open area without defined sites.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your vehicle and camper trailers.
Campsite surface: dirt.
Facilities: pit toilet.
Open fires: permitted, except when fire prohibitions or fire bans are in place. Please use the fire ring provided and bring your own clean-cut firewood. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: not allowed, except for medical reasons (conditions apply).
Essentials to bring: all food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, first-aid kit, reliable torch. Read more about before you visit.
Mobile phone coverage: unavailable; satellite phones, personal locator beacon (PLB) and UHF radios recommended.
