Shoreline dominated by mangroves (fringing Avicennia with patches of Rhizophora); extensive seagrass beds (including Zostera, Halophila and Syringodium species); intertidal shoals; foreshore flats; corals; freshwater habitats.

Bream; flathead; cobia; snapper; garfish; spotted and school mackerel; sea mullet; tailor; whiting; banana, eastern king and bay prawns; mud and sand crabs; oysters.
Unique features
Capembah Creek provides a constant direct freshwater input to the mangrove community; lies within the Moreton Bay Ramsar wetland.
