Stay overnight to see the diverse habitats of Cape Hillsborough National Park. Lowland rainforest, vine and open eucalypt forest shelter abundant wildlife.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Park-specific conditions

  • Camp fires are permitted (except when fire prohibitions and fire bans apply). Camp fires must be contained in above ground fire containers. Bring your own fire container and clean, milled firewood. Extinguish your camp fire with water and remove your fire container when you leave. It is recommended to use a fuel or gas stove.
  • Fires are prohibited anywhere else in the park, including on the beach.
  • Maximum length of stay is 21 consecutive nights.
  • Rubbish bins are not provided. Bring a sealable container to store your rubbish in. When you leave remove your rubbish and dispose of it responsibly.
  • Generators are not permitted.
  • Dogs and other domestic animals are not permitted.
  • Dangerous marine stingers may be present all year. Visit Surf Life Saving Queensland for the latest safety advice.
  • Beware of estuarine crocodiles, Be Crocwise in Croc Country
  • Remain and be SharkSmart in Queensland waters.
