Location

Carnarvon National Park lies within a vast, elevated section of sandstone country in central Queensland, approximately 600km northwest of Brisbane and 300km southwest of Rockhampton.

Welcome

Traditional Owners have a long and on-going relationship with the area that falls within Carnarvon National Park. The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) acknowledges the connection Aboriginal people have with this cultural heritage place, and asks that you treat the country you're walking through with respect and care.
