Grimston Point camping area is located in a peaceful and secluded area on the northern side of the point approximately seven nautical miles north of Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach.

Campground features: Enjoy camping in this peaceful and secluded area.

Location: On the northern side of the point approximately seven nautical miles (13 kilometres) north of Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach.

Access: The camping area is only accessible by boat.

Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites.

Campsites are suitable for: tent camping only.

Campsite surface: Sand.

Facilities: Pit toilet.

Open fires: Prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: Not allowed, except for medical reasons (with the department’s permission).

Essentials to bring: All food and drinking water, sturdy rubbish bags, insect repellent, sun protection, first aid kit, reliable torch, marine radio.

Mobile phone coverage: Generally available on the beach or on the ridgeline southeast of the camping area; satellite phones and marine radios can also be used.
