Camping area features: Shady trees overlooking sandy beaches.
Location: On the south-western side of the island, just north-west of Cape Richards, Hinchinbrook Island National Park.
Access: The camping area can only be reached by boat. Ferry services are available.
Number of sites: Open area without separately defined sites for a maximum of 50 campers.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping and large groups.
Camp site surface: Sand, grass.
Facilities: Composting toilets, picnic tables, and shelter shed.
Open fires: Prohibited. Take a gas or fuel stove.
Generators: Not permitted.
Essentials to bring: Drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent and a gas or fuel stove. Read more about before you visit.
Mobile phone coverage: Generally available.
