Create camping memories of a lifetime—share the day’s adventures over a barbecue, spot possums or insectivorous bats at night and wake with the birds at Girraween’s well-equipped camping areas.
Kambuwal camping area, nestled in among trees and granite rocks, has more intimate sites suitable for small caravans, camper trailers and various-sized tents. Whereas Terrawambella camping area has open spacious sites for camper trailers, large caravans and motor homes. The tent area is only available for large, organised groups.
Castle Rock camping area has sites suitable for all users, including specifically dedicated sites for persons with disabilities (PWD).
Bushcamping in remote sections of Girraween National Park is also permitted (restrictions apply). As sites are not identified by signs or markers, campers need good navigation skills and to practice minimal impact behaviour when using these areas.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.
