Stop in at the lookout for a picnic and enjoy the impressive, 200-degree views of undulating hills, craggy peaks and patchwork valleys. Search the sky for soaring wedge-tailed eagles and other birds. Sunset here is particularly dramatic and photos are fantastic at any time, and in any weather.
Don't miss the historic Romeo Lahey memorial lookout shelter where you can get your bearings from the directional plate. The shelter was opened in 1970 and recognises the energy and drive Lahey put into having Lamington recognised as a national park.
This park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, famed for its ongoing geological processes, evolutionary history, and diversity (especially of rare, threatened and endemic species).
