Gheerulla camping area is a small walk-in camping area that provides campsites beside Gheerulla Creek just 950m from the Sam Kelly Road trailhead carpark.
Gheerulla camping area can also be used as an access point for the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk. The 58km Great Walk route passes through Mapleton National Park and has three dedicated walker’s camps, two of which are in Mapleton National Park. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
