Camping area features: a large open level clearing at the junction of two sections of track, identified by a timber totem. If the designated clearing is overgrown, you can camp off the track in another suitable site.

Location: on Koolmoon Creek track, 3.4km from Djilgarrin trailhead and 11.9km from Cochable Creek camping area. If walking Koolmoon Creek track from the north it is 11.3km from Koolmoon Creek headwaters camping area.

Access: the camping area can be reached on foot only.

Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 16 people.

Camp sites are suitable for: walk-in camping.

Camp site surface: dirt and grass.

Facilities: none. Creek water can be obtained from Koolmoon Creek at Walters Waterhole 1.1km north along Koolmoon Creek track.

Open fires: not allowed. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: prohibited.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, food, rubbish bags, insect repellent and a fuel stove. Read more about before you visit.
