Cancel a camping booking

Queensland National Parks Booking System Update

The new Queensland National Parks Booking Service is live for bookings.

Customer account login
If you are making your first booking since 1 July 2024, a new customer account will be created automatically as part of your next booking. Please note your previous login credentials will no longer be valid.

Customers who have made a booking after 1 July 2024, please use your email address to reset your password to access your account.

Our operational policy contains more information about booking cancellations and refunds. The cancellation limit is 2 calendar days prior to permit start date. For example, if a booking is due to commence on a Saturday, the last opportunity to cancel it and receive an automatic refund is midnight the previous Wednesday.

1. Sign into your account, either by:

  • Go to qld.gov.au/camping and click ‘account’, then ‘sign in’; or
  • Click ‘manage my bookings’ link in your confirmation booking email.

2. Click on ‘account’ and then ‘view reservations’ to access ‘my account’ where you can view all your bookings.

3. Your account will display all bookings. Click on ‘upcoming’ to view all upcoming bookings.

4. Use your booking ‘itinerary number’ to identify the booking you want to cancel. Click ‘view bookings’ on this booking.

5. You can cancel either individual bookings under a particular itinerary or your whole itinerary (multiple bookings).

  1. To cancel individual booking, click ‘booking actions’, then ‘request cancellation’.

  1. To cancel whole itinerary (multiple bookings, e.g. camping permit and vehicle access permit), click ‘itinerary actions’, then ‘request cancellation’.

6. Select relevant reason from ‘alteration reason’ dropdown box and click ‘process cancellation’.

7. A summary of your cancellation will pop up, click ‘yes, proceed’.

8. The cancellation is now complete, click ‘ok’.

9. Your booking is now cancelled. Your cancelled booking will appear under ‘cancelled’ in the ‘my bookings’ section of your account.

A booking cancellation itinerary will be emailed to you. Any eligible refunds will be processed by QPWS within 30 days of cancellation.
