Make a camping booking

Remember to check Park Alerts before booking your permit, and before you leave home, for the latest information on access, closures and conditions.

If there is a Park Alert currently affecting your selected camping area, the Park Alert symbol will be displayed on the camping area page. Click on ‘park alerts’ for detailed information.

1. Once you have decided which camping area you are visiting, you are ready to book your campsite. Note: see ‘check availability’ for more information on search criteria for selecting camping area and campsite, including selecting dates and number of guests for your booking.

a) For un-numbered camping areas, click ‘book’ on the desired campsite type (eg. tent, multi-use etc).

b) For numbered camping areas, click ‘select campsites’ on the desired campsite type (eg tent, multi-use etc.). A list of available numbered campsites will appear.

Click ‘book’ on the desired campsite number (e.g. Site 01).

c) For open camping areas, click ‘book’.

2. Once you have clicked ‘book’ on desired campsite, a booking summary will appear. Ensure all details are correct before proceeding.

3. Click ‘sign in’. Note: if you don’t have an account with us and this is your first time booking, click ‘skip and continue’, an account will be automatically created.

4. On login screen, enter in ‘username’ (email) and ‘password’ and click ‘sign in’. You are now logged in to your account and you can continue with your booking.

Note: If you’re booking a camping area within K’gari (Fraser Island), Cooloola or Bribie Island recreation areas, a pop-up message will appear reminding you of the requirement to have a valid Vehicle Access Permit (VAP) for each vehicle entering the recreation area. To proceed, click in the vacant text box and select ‘I have read and agree to the requirement’ from the drop down. You will need to purchase a VAP separately. See purchase a vehicle access permit for more information.

5. Enter number of vehicles and vehicle registration for each vehicle, confirming that the vehicle registration you’ve entered is correct. Click ‘buy now’.

Alternatively, if you want to make multiple bookings (e.g. add a VAP to your booking) you can click ‘add item to cart’.

6. A 15min timer will commence for you to complete your details.

Your booking will be displayed in the left column. If you are logged into your account, the fields under ‘my details’ will have been pre-filled. Please check all contact details are correct and update as necessary.

Note: correct contact details are very important so you can be contacted in case of an emergency or unexpected closures.

7. Once you have read and agree to the terms & conditions, tick ‘I accept the terms & conditions’.

8. Scroll down and enter credit card details into ‘my payment’ fields. Ensure all details are correct and click ‘finalise’.

9. Booking is complete. You will receive a reservation and payment confirmation email within 2 hours, with itinerary, tax invoice and relevant permits attached. Check your email Junk/Spam folders if the email hasn’t arrived in your inbox.
