Data for use in GIS software
Datasets (for zones and designated areas and marine park habitat types) is available to help interpret the zoning plan, via the following platforms:
- QSpatial - Geographic Information System (GIS) dataset of the Moreton Bay Marine Park. Data can be downloaded in a range of formats (e.g. KML/KMZ, shapefile and file geodatabase) for use in GIS software and Google Earth.

- Webservice containing Moreton Bay Marine Park datasets along with other state marine parks datasets.
Please note, as designated areas overlap zones it may be necessary to turn layers on/off to clearly see a particular zone or designated area.
Zoning coordinates
The coordinates in the spreadsheet are provided to help interpret zone and designated area boundaries described in schedules 1 and 2 of the Marine Parks (Moreton Bay) Zoning Plan 2019. The coordinate lists for each zone/designated area do not necessarily contain every coordinate that would be required to describe the shape of the zone/designated area. These coordinate lists should be used in conjunction with the descriptions in the Zoning Plan and the PDF maps available above.
