Branching off the Coastal Fringe circuit journey through lowland rainforest and over rocky gullies as you explore the tidal interface between land and sea situated on the fringe of Conway’s vast protected area.
Pack your camera! A small patch of mangroves and associated wildlife adds diversity to this trail.
Getting there and getting around
Hayward Gully way is in Conway National Park about 7km southeast of Airlie Beach.
- From the Conway day-use area follow the Coastal Fringe circuit for 600m to reach the Hayward Gully way turnoff.
- The trail loops around Haywood Gully and passes by a small patch of mangroves. Return the same way you came, then continue along the Coastal Fringe circuit back to the Conway day-use area.
Wheelchair access
There is no wheelchair access to Haywood Gully way.

Opening hours
Hayward Gully way is open all year round. Access maybe closed at times due to localised flooding, severe weather or park management activities.
