Conway National Park has shared trails where walkers and cyclists share the same trail. Please be careful and courteous and follow the shared trails give way code.
- Cyclists must slow down, give way to and watch for walkers.
- Cyclists must alert others when approaching.
- Everyone must slow down and go around wildlife.
The Wompoo way follows an old logging trail to a peaceful creek where you can relax under the shade of Alexandra palms.
Listen for the loud, deep and resonating call of the wompoo fruit-dove…’woom-POO’. Falling fruit from the canopy often gives the location of this bird away.
Be prepared for some steady uphill section on this trail.
